Together we are supporting one another and turning these challenges into opportunities to work with you to make the world a more peaceful, just place. We want to thank everyone who took the leap with us as we rethought and reworked our annual celebration of community and story in action. We moved most of our programming online and you followed! We leaned on Zoom to bring more filmmakers than ever into conversation with you through our recorded interviews; showcased the beautiful and inspiring artwork of Orange County K-12 Students on our website; and supported the Asian Cultural Association by sharing our platform to present their Emerging Artists Festival. You also turned out for the various safe and creative in-person events that included the Us Kids screening in partnership with Enzian Theater and March for Our Lives and the MYgration Film Contest screenings in partnership with FusionFest as well as films from local filmmakers and returning GPFF alumni at the Orlando Science Museum, the Orlando Museum of Art and the Orange County Regional History Center and the Bombshell: Masquerading Warfare exhibit at CityArts in partnership with the Downtown Arts District in downtown Orlando. Moving some of our programming online allowed us to share the community spirit of Central Florida with new audience members throughout the US and the world. This gave people a deeper, more thoughtful perspective on the communities you love and call home. Sharing stories and turning those stories into positive action is at the center of this organization and we thank you for your reaffirmation of the importance of that mission.
